Pundi goes into overdrive in 2019
After planting 2500 Wattle trees in 2018, and with Foundation support adding irrigation and milling equipment, Pundi started 2019 with new plantings of Muntries, Mountain Pepper, River Mint, Saltbush and Sea Parsley.
The Foundation also helped with the purchase of a commercial drying unit for native herbs.
Pundi is now supplying customers in Victoria and SA with native herbs as well as supplying select fresh produce to Nunga, another Aboriginal Farming Enterprise in SA.
Bush Tomatoes planted from seed in 2018 are flourishing in Pundi's innovative raised beds of Aquaponic fed water. Harvesting will be the next test to see if it's commercially viable. There is plenty of demand if it is.
